22 weeks, 3 days

20 weeks

22 weeks

I feel like I’ve grown a lot in the past two weeks. Actually, I feel like I grow every single day. Which is probably true.

I had a very nice weekend. On Saturday I made my baby registry at Target, and went to a baby shower for a girl at church. Then we went to Nathan’s cousin’s birthday party. On Sunday after church Melissa (who has moved back up here) and I went to do my registry at Babies R Us. Man do I ever understand why people spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on their little babies. Stuff is just SO precious and of course as soon as you walk in they give you a list of things you “have” to have for a baby. But we had a lot of fun registering. Afterwards Melissa took me out to lunch at P.ei W.ei. I’ve never been there before but man am I hooked now! I had their Pad Thai—it was excellent! We met up with Nathan and Thomas back at our house and Melissa baked chocolate chip cookies. How sweet is that?!

Yesterday my mom got laid off. She loved the people she worked with and they love here and it was a really ideal job for her so she is understandably upset. Please pray for her and dad as they have big decisions to make now. And if you throw in an extra prayer for them to move down to Texas, I wouldn’t mind that. I was also told yesterday that I am either not needed or my hours are being cut. Yesterday I was told I would get 20 hours a week, but today I’m not sure. I have to talk to my supervisor still. And Nathan is in his off season and has only had a few hours of work in the past two months. So pray for all of us!

Wow. So much at one time. Today I was encouraged by my reading in Exodus 2. The people groaned in their slavery and God heard them and made a way to deliver them. The same God today hears our moanings and cries for help.
And I love Pad Thai or any Thai food, too!

I'm glad for you that Melissa is back, but I don't know if it's good for them or bad? I've never had Pad Thai. I don't know what it is. Apparently the people who were going to buy our house can't get financing:( We found that out yesterday, too. I am sooooo sorry to hear about your job.

Congrats on the baby! You've done a great job describing what this experience has been like for you. I hope you're feeling well.

I know we don't know each other, so I hope it's not weird that I'm posting a comment (I couldn't find an email for you), but I have a baby registry service that I think might be really great for your family. It's called Deposit a Gift. It's a cash gift registry service for you to register for the money for all the baby things that you will want to buy down the road, even for classes, babysitters and college funds. You can also list your Target and BRU registries, so everything is in one place.

Anyways, I don't want to go on too much about it. But I hope you take a look at the site to see if it might help you with the things you need for when the baby comes. I'm here if you want to ask questions, so don't hesitate to email me: dana@depositagift.com

Here's an article that UrbanBaby recently wrote about us: http://blogs.urbanbaby.com/buzz/2010/01/06/cash-is-king/

All the best to you, and I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom's job.

Im another one who feels that Ive grown so much it must just be this stage of pregnancy looking good!

We registered a few weeks back and it is so overwhelming to know how much stuff. I got lots of ideas from new moms and it was helpful.

Prayers for everyone and their job situation what a tough situation

I had a great time with you on Sunday. And I've been dreaming about the cookies ever since. I may have to make some of my own today! ;)

I love the first comment referencing Exodus 2. Thank you for sharing. I needed that as well. Very timely for all of us, I think.

God will make a way for you and Nathan financially, as will he do the same for your parents and even Thomas and I. WE WILL MAKE IT!!!

Much love mama!!!
